The Impenetrable Top Four in Men's Tennis

The final four has been decided in this year's US Open and it's still the Top 4 in men's tennis - Roger, Rafa, Novak and Andy. I just checked all the Grand Slam semifinals for this year and only two guys - David Ferrer in the Australian Open and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Wimbledon - were able to penetrate this immense wall separating the elite of men's tennis from, well, even the other guys in the Top 10.  To think that the guys ranked 5-8 are no pushovers themselves - Ferrer, Soderling, Monfils and Fish!!

I am actually impressed at how these four guys just elevate their game to the next level when they need to, and sometimes, the rest can't just catch up.
